Pats could be blessed this year, Dire! They shoulda lost that game last night by all accounts...but the Bills....oh about your hard luck franchise. I haven't seen so many defeats pulled from the jaws of victory since....well....the Red Sox of OLD.

Hard to say what's tougher to be a fan of: (informal poll here):

Cleveland teams. (Browns heartbreaks vs. Broncos; Cavs still unable to close the deal w/LeBron ready to bolt for NYC soon as he can; Indians game 7 WS loss to Marlins in '97 after being being oh so close, not to mention blowing the 3-1 '07 ALCS lead to the Red Sox AND the 1999 ALDS after being up 2-0.....No WS since 1954)

Buffalo fans: 4 straight Superbowl losses, including Scott Norwood's clunker; Losers to the Music City Miracle vs. Titans; Totally hosed in the Stanley Cup finals vs. Dallas (skate clearly in the crease on the game-winning OT goal by Hull)...

Minnesota Vikings fans: 4 Superbowl losses; last minute loss to a crap-ass Cardinals team on final play of final game of the season to miss the playoffs...

Cubs fans. 101 years and counting.

I used to feel sorry for myself as a Red Sox fan, and I still always expect the worst out of reflex, but really, since '04, I've got nuthin' to grouse about. Now the Bruins...I still have a lot of complaints until they can bring back the Cup for the first time since 1972.

(Guess I better make this about the Dead somehow...let's see...oh yeah...the Celtics...looking fwd to a big year from Rasheed Wallace and a healthy KG...Bill Walton's birthday at the Worcester Centrum...great show! Whew!)

man, i still remember watching that Sabers/Stars game! one of the worst noncalls in history.

(Cubs fans just gotta have it the worst though, i mean, really...)

i'll admit that i am stoked though for this year's Bruins team - expecting some great results this year - coulda happened last season, but the team was a little inexperienced and shot themselves in the foot. (gonna miss PJ though - tough for me to see him go)
